Oh oh - moved the fuel pressure regulator... Help !!
Sorry about the trouble... I just finished a valves/oil/fuel lines maintenance or replacement, as the case may be... And I think I might have accidentally moved the fuel pressure knob...
The car comes with an electric pump (for now, it will be replaced ASAP) and in the engine compratment a fuel regulator knob -purolator type - that you can turn from 0 to 5 in 0.5 increments... I am pretty sure it was set to 1 before and I found it on 0.5 after my fuel line replacement. I've tried both positions at idle and playing with the throttle and it worked the same. Still, I'd rather know which is correct than find out on the road and have to stop... Any ideas ? THanks ! 69 912, webbers, nothing special other than electr. fuel pump. Greg. |

Ok, not much action on the 912 side, huh ?
I got an answer from my 356 buddies so I will answer my own post as a public service to the "search" feature ! It doesn;t matter, within reason. The carb will dictate when it's got enough fuel and stop the inflow. So, 1 might be a tad low, I was told up to 4 or 5 is fine if the lines are not leaking from higher pressures. Lean is bad, so more fuel pressure is safer... I'll be clicking to 2 or 2.5 and see... |

The stock fuel pressure is 2.5 to 3.
