Fabricating new seat rails.
New seats for my car so need to make new rails to fit. So far so good.

Mew911: those brackets look like they will be suffice when your finished you could show your car to us and pour some of that home brew for the rest of us. nice seats by the way.

Nice fit up work but with the seat belts fastened to the seat base you are only being held by little 8 mm bolts in a wreck. Porsche had them on the tunnel and rocker wall. Can you put them back and maintain the original safety? This setup would not pass most DE tech inspections.

Yeah, I thought that wouldn't fly, or as I would fly, right through the window;-) I'll work on a new plan but I simply didn't want to drill large holes through the pan.

However, our original seats up to 1968 mounted to the rear of each seat side. This follows the same concept and perhaps this design is too unsafe. The 69 and later has the mount in the door frame side for shoulder belt. This will come in handy to hold on to (since this would be the only part remaining within the car) while you are being propelled out the front window along with your seat;-)
