Unhappy 912 Valve Adjustment Problem

Nr. 2 Intake valve adjust is extremely tight. I've reviewed several posts and technical articles on this known problem in the 912 Registry and 356 Registry for resolutions. I removed the rockers and couldn't gain any additional clearance by moving the pushrod. I replaced the adjustment screw and put everything back but still can't get .004 clearance. Any good advice will be valued since I really don't want to run the motor until this is resolved.

There is much more 912 activity at the 912 Registry Board. Try your question there.

Thanks Jim. I posted my question there and am actually a member, but always come here first. I'm suspecting a weak or broken valve spring. I'll wait for replies.
