SWB 912 Sheet Metal

I am looking at a 67 912 for sale here in Arkansas. The car is currently owned by the second owner. It was bought in San Francisco and the owner moved to Arkansas many years ago. The car has been setting in his garage since 1979. The odd part is the car has rust bubbles on the rocker panels (odd considering that the car has only lived on CA and AR). So at least the rockers will need to be replaced. I assume that the SWB rocker panels are different from the LWB models. Are the rocker panels and parts available for the early SWB cars? (for less than an arm and a leg?). The car is setting in his garage on four flat tires (with steel wheels). The wheels will not turn (probably rotors rusted to the brake pads). The motor will move a little, but will not turn over completely. The car has 70some thousand miles on it. The front trunk and interior are in very good condition. I am pondering whether to buy this car or not. Any additional information about the availability of SWB parts would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no difference, The rocker panel is the same from 65 to 73. Contact restoration-design.com they have good heavy gauge rocker panels
