Pls advise newbie to 912 world....
Hi there.....I used to own a 70 911 T.........
I had a nice 70t a few yrs back........I was wondering what to look for when buying a 69 912....its a well maintained Webered car..........besides all the 911 foibles......are there 912 specific issues?......and how can I get a good handle on values?....I hope to be a regular here soon!...........tia. All the 911 body problems would apply. Engines can cost $5-8K to rebuild (by a professional) so a compression and leak down should help determine its' condition.
Bought mine in '01 off ebay. Got lucky. Four coast to coast trips and 65k+ miles with no major engine work.

You'll find values and tech info on 912registry.org .... 912 can be as quick as 911t's or a lot slower depending on how well tuned. Easy to work on ... and that's necessary.
