Tach. gone wild
My tach started dancing back and forth. There seems to be no pattern and the car runs/starts fine. I do have a Pertronix installed and wondered if they show any sign before they fail? Its probably just time to re-do the tach. Any thoughts would be great.

Joe, I am in tach hell too. My 912 tach is fine but the tach in the356 is toast. I have sent it to Palo Alto Speedometer for the 4th, yes 4th time since May! It has been there 8 days and they haven't touched it. I doubt the Pertronix is the issue in your car. Jim '59 356 Coupe race car

Is the Tech wire on the wrong side of the coil? I had this problem and found it to be something really easy to fix but I don't remember (Short term memory loss), UGH! I'm old!!!

thanks for the input
I checked the wires and connections, they did seem a bit loose.........I re-crimped the ends and all is well. Its always the simple things we overlook!!
