What to look for in a buying a used Porsche
Make a list of everything that can go wrong with a car.
Brakes, brake hoses, leaking, pads tie rod ends, wheel bearings, play in steering ball joints rust in front pan area near suspension mounts rust under battery rust in floors under seats, near pedals, behind seats rust under rear seats rust in the bottom corners of windows rust in door bottoms rust in rear torsion bar mounts rust in fenders rust in turn signal housings condition of lights and housings check lights and turn signals Engine Compression check!!! fresh oil leaking around case! overall appearance check oil unusual sounds carburetors carburetor shaft play Tires Wheels shocks Paint condition evidence of collision damage evidence of filler under paint Original color? Interior Carpets Upholstery Instruments Shifting Clutch action |
