912 Luggage Compartment Lights

I plan to install luggage compartment lights in my 912. I have located the lights but can't find any information on the light switch or where it should be mounted. Can anyone assist me?

You did not say what year, and I do not know if the location changed in later years, but my 66 has the switch located in the hood on the right side, near the windshield edge. There is a tab on the fender, and if it still there, this is how I found the location for mine...good luck Mark

Mark, thanks for responding. My car is a 1968, I have had it now for twenty years. It has been in storage most of the time. Now I am retired and bringing it back to life. I will check the location you suggested for the switch. What kind of switch do you have? I located a online source for the lights but found nothing on the switch.

Thanks
Keith

I found one, maybe at stoddard porsche. It looks very similar to the interior light switches and may be the same. I will look in a little while and see if I can find where I bought it...Mark
