if alternator amp is 55 will volt reg work 67 is wired for 12v 30 amp and orig was gen 25 amp

If you are asking if a 25 or 30 amp regulator will work on a 55 amp alternator, the answer is no. The best choice is to use an internally regulated, so called "1 wire" alternator...Mark

what about the one wire alt built in volt reg and get small amp size good?

Try switching to a 914 alt with the 914 volt reg. That is what I did for my Type 4 install.
