Rust areas, overall problem areas, where to look?
 

Hey guys, need some help quick.

I may have a line on a '66 912 and need to know where to look for typical hidden rust spots?

What other issues should I be looking for?

What tranny should be in it?

This car may come on the cheap and have to act fast. Don't know if it will become a driver or parting it, but know very little about 912's.

Also, is there a VIN decoder anywhere? ( I have the VIN if someone can PM me)

Under the battery all suspension areas, the torsion tubes in the rear, Longitudinals, floor boards, around windows front and rear, bottom of doors, and the fenders.

Thanks, Looks like regular Porsche areas.

Problem is that the guy sold the car out from under me.
