Wheel/tire combo for 69 912?

Hello, new to the world of Porsche restoration and was wondering if 15x8 Fuchs will fit on a stock 912? If so, what tire size is recommended? (or spacers, prefer not to use) Thanks for any info!

PNS:

No, an eight-inch wide Fuchs won't fit without flaring the fenders. Even a seven-inch can be a problem. A six-inch is probably your best bet.

I run sevens with spacers, 55-series tires, and a stiff suspension. They require longer-than-original wheel studs, too. Individual cars also have different clearances and ride heights, so the best way to really gauge fit is to try it and see, maybe borrow a wheel and several tires of different sizes.
