I don't know anyone in Toledo, but I know a couple of great guys on the west side of Indianapolis. They do all Porsche stuff from race to daily drivers.
You can PM me, Rob

Jim,
I forgot to mention that I road race a 911, and drive a 912E on the street.

Great Mechanics

I'm from Detroit, and have been working with the guys at MUNKS Motors in Waterford, MI. They are Great!!! Chris Braden, the owner, has had my 66 912 in his shop for about 10 months now. They offer excellent service, The only 5 star Certified Bosch facility in Michigan. Chris and the guys can get you moving forward on your project in no time. Give them a call, (248)681-8081

Try over on the 912 BBS site There are some from the Ohio area. Harry is from Cleavland and could be a big help.

You might also consider giving Grand Sport LLC in Detroit a call. I haven't jumped into the Porsche world yet (soon, I hope!), and was calling them about a car they were selling (turned out to be already sold). It ended up being the longest, friendliest and most "down to earth" conversation I've had with any Porsche dealer or service center to date. I "got the feeling" that they really knew what they were talking about and had a real passion for the cars. Of course, that's based purely on a phone-coversation, but I think it might be worth your time to give them a call since they aren't too far from you.
