How loose should throwout bearing be in pressure plate?

I am new to 912's and I have a question about the throw out bearing. I am used to 911 clutches where the throwout bearing has no real free play. I put this throw out bearing on this 912 clutch and it moves in the clutch disc about 1/2 inch. Is this normal? There is no real play when you pull or push on it. Maybe a millimeter or 2. There is play when you move it side to side. Will the release bearing guide tube keep it in place?

Thanks, Rob
