How many 5-speed 912s were produced?
Hey all: I had good luck with my last question so I thought I'd follow up with hopefully another easy one:
How many 5-speed 912s did Porsche produce (between '65-69)? Even a rough idea would be helpful. Are there any charts out there that would show production breakdowns (in terms of total numbers) between the different gearboxes in the 912 run? Also, would anyone know of a more-or-less current valuation table for 912s, it'd especially be helpful if it made a distinction between gearbox types... As always, thanks in advance. |
Nope, and some were changed later from a 4 to a 5 speed. You can figure that quite a few were 4 speed in the 66 that came to the US. 4 speed was standard and 5 speed as an option for US car. Where as 5 speed was standard and 4 speed was a option for Euro cars in 66.
The only was you can tell is by the number on the case. Sterling posted a chart of the numbers. Either here or on the 912BBS. |
my 66 has a 5-speed and an electric sunroof.
