clock (not working)
The clock in my 69 - 912 is no longer working. I believe there is a company listed in Hemmings that I can send it to.... My question is how does it come out of the dash ? The manuals, really dont say, but it looks like I just " pull it out" ?? Thanks for replys

I think you just pull it out. At least thats how the other gauges come out. My clock never worked, but the one on the CD player did, so I just put the clock at 9:12 and left it. It worked for me!

You have to open the trunk, if you lean over the right fron fender you can get your hand around the wiper motor and to the clock. You have to unscrew the two screws holding the clamps/brackets down and swecureing the clock in place, then you can pull it out through the dash after disconnecting the wires. Make sure you don't have any shorts behind the dash though as the clocks are very sensitive, you'd hate to have it repaired and then stop working again.

The tech article here at Pelican helped me.

Pelican has a guide to fixing the clocks at http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_vdo_clock_repair/mult_vdo_clock_repair.htm. Just a thought before spending a fortune on getting it rebuilt. I know someone who fixed their own and it worked for a long time, maybe even still works. You can't hurt anything so its probably worth it.
