912e Turn signal

Hi,
I am new to the board. I have an Irish Green 76 912e that needs quite a bit of work. Could you suggest some good books on repair/ restoration on this car?
How difficult is it to change the turn signal/high beam indicator? Every time I use the turn signals the high beams go on an off. I don't think that it is too much of a problem because the original headlamps are so dim that I don't think I am bothering anyone when it happens. Nonetheless, I would like to change the part.
Thanks for your help.
Jay

Jay:
Welcome aboard. I think the best available manual is the Haynes series. When I had a 912E I used the 911 manual for everything but the engine (since most of the car is 76 911)and the 914 edition for the motor. The factory supplement is pricey, but gives you the wiring diagram. Other than that I don't think it's worth the money. Haynes manuals show up all the time on Ebay.
Replacing the TS switch is not a major deal, just make sure your battery is disconnected.
Good luck,
Bill.
