1976 912e oil temp sensor wiring

so Im trying to figure out where the brown wire coming from the oil temperature sensor hooks up to the harness or any other wire that connects to the gauge, but I dont see any wires near where the wire ends. If you have any photos or ideas I would love to hear them.

its actually a brown sleve over a green wire with a black stripe

Originally the green/black wire goes from the temp sending unit to the temp gauge.
