Trim color question
 

Hi All, I have a 1969 912 that is the original Sahara Beige...All the trim is in good shape but I'm looking for ansewers on a trim color. ..The deck grill on my car is brushed looking aluminum (silver) and I saw a car on ebay the other day that looked to have been over restored, his grill was black...Was that part of the over restoration or is my deck grill supposed to be black?

The rear engine grill is suppose to be aluminum color. The black was for a later year. For 69 there was a one year only grill. It had 3 vertical bars instead of the 5 for 70 on.
