Generator wiring gauge
Hello,
I'm installing a brand new generator, the bigger type for my '68 912. I would like to replace the 3 wires that goes from the gen. to the regulator and i'm not sure what wire gauge to use. There are 2 thick wires and 1 thin wire. All 3 wires are connected to D-, D+ and DF. What is a good wire gauge to use, maybe 10 or 12 gauges?? Thanks in advance, Bao |

No. 12 should be plenty large enough. 14 would probably be OK, too. 16 is easily large enough for the field wire (DF). It's just a short run.
