Hi Bob,

I have a 68 912 with a Weltmiester strut support. I installed it many years ago to keep the strut towers from flexing during hard cornering.
This unit will only work on 68 and newer. I am not familiar with the pelican parts model, but I am assuming it works like the rest of the braces that are available. They work by reducing flex in the body and keep the suspension settings close during hard cornering. I always believed they helped since my lap times improved with them.
Good Luck,
JMB.

I have a Weltermiester strut bar on my '69 Targa. Big difference! Stops the flex/shake that all Targa's have in the cowl. I love it! I also just installed their 19mm adjustable front sway bar and after a bit of adjustment, it really helps stablize the car. Flatter cornering and much more gradual drop throttle oversteer. Rear bar is next. Should really bolt the car to the ground. Can't wait!
