Temp Gague Interuptus
My temp gague is pegged to the left (below Cold). Any suggestions / advice before I tear things apart ?

I need help with this too. Mine is pegged all the way to the far right.

Have you checked your sending units? If you break the ceramic insulating the contact the needle will peg to the right.
defrl, Does the needle ever move at all or does it never even jump? I'd make sure that all of the wires are hooked up and getting power before actually taking anything apart. If you do end up replacing the sending unit be sure to get aluminum and not the original copper seals, and re-tighten the assembly correctly. Otherwise you can start a big oil leak. |
Yes, It does jump around.... Could this be as simple as loose wires? Also: I understand that VDO makes a round dial that will fit into the clock opening?? Anyone have a source for them ? 911 senders & gagues also work here, correct ? (with numbers on the gague)

Same problem with the fuel guage. Its always dead but will jump midway. I'm going to check or replace the fuel sender. As for the temp guages, don't forget to check the wiring in the back if its pegged.
