901 Transmission shift handle loose

I have recently had my 901 Transmission rebuilt and it shifts great! Problem is that the shifter handle now spins. I can take it back to the shop but it is a few hours away and I'm wondering if this is a quick DIY fix?

Any help is appreciated!

Looks like you've got a '69. The shift knob is attached with a crush sleeve (looks like a corregated band). I'd pull the knob to see if for some reason it is missing.

I believe the crush sleeves are NLA and not sure if the knob you have uses set screws, but I replaced the set screws on the Momo knob I have installed and have a good bite now, no slipping. Could always try JB Weld fix.

Gotta hear about that exhaust. I know there are trombone oil coolers, but never knew about the trombone exhaust system.

P.S. Like the look of the car and wondering if you have a little outlaw thing going with the exhaust and the extra badge on the license plate panel. More photos please!
