New 912 Owner & Harness Bar Question

Greetings All -

I acquired my Irish Green 1967 Porsche 912 last Fall and recently picked it up from the shop where it was undergoing some mechanical sorting (big thanks to Cheech at Rennwerke in Elmsford, NY). I've been driving it as much as I can for the past few months, and sorting out the remaining issues as I go.

Next on my list is the interior - I plan on replacing the original seats with some Houndstooth Rallye seats from Stefan at GTS. I also plan on putting in some 5 Point Harnesses, and have run into a snag finding a Harness bar to fit in a SWB car. The Weltmeister bars offered on PP and at Automotion specify '69 and up - and I have told they will be too long to fit without cutting and re-welding.

Do any of you SWB owners have any suggestions on what I can do about this? I'd like to purchase a bar that fits without modification.

I have a million other questions, but that's the most pressing at the moment - THANKS!
