914 seats in 912e?

Does anybody know if it is possible to install 914 front seats in a 912E? Do the rails need to be changed?

I'm sure you can do it; you'll probably need new rails though.

I put 87, 944 seats in a 69, 912, one of the best moves I've made with the car. I made the adapter plates from 3/16" steel stock a little drilling, grinding and a few taps for small bolts and they were in. It cost 10 bucks in material and 2 hours of my time.
