door catches

Does anyone know what tool or method to use to remove or loosen the door catches? The ones on the car are a little beefy and need to be trimmed down. The doors don't close flush and the door catches are in as far as they go. I think the door catches are aftermarket ones purchased by the previous owner.

The bolts on the door catches have a ten point pattern (I think).
