Solex 40 PII-4 butterfly

Hello,

After rebuilt my solex 40 pii-4 i noticed that the butterfly on both chambers doesn't open at the same time.

As pic. 1 shows the 1st butterfly opened and the second is still closed.
Pic. 2 shows the 1st butterfly opened further and the second beginning to opened.
Pic. shows the 1st butterfly fully opened and the second opened to about 80% of the first butterfly.

My question is this correct? Or should both butterflies opened and closed at the same rate? If this is the case, what action should I take to have both opened and closed at the same rate.

Thanks,
Bao

You have the split-shaft version of the Solex. The throttles should be synchronized. Go to this link and scroll down to the split-shaft throttle adjustment section.
Porsche 356 Registry: Adjusting Solex 40PII-4 Carburetors
You can do a preliminary adjustment on the workbench by adjusting the mechanism in the middle of the carb, that connects the throttle shafts. Compare what you have with the illustration below for any missing parts.
