Wilhoit open house

Thought you all might like to see this nice '68 912 that was on display at Wilhoit's open house this past weekend.

Wow, a 912 sunroof AND a twinplug motor. Can the identity of the owner be revealed ? Wish I could have attended the SoCal events last weekend. Thanks for posting Scott!

I don't know the name of the owner as it wasn't posted with the car. You might give John W. a call and see if he'll reveal it to you.
Here's a picture of the interior with requisite wood wheel.
Glad you liked it.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1331002064.jpg

Hi,
Does any one know the color and code# for this car?
I'm very interested for my 68 912.

Thanks, Bao

Looks like 6807, sand beige

Great,
i know the saying choosing color is like picking your favorite ice cream flavor, but i still can't pick a color.
I have a few in mind but can't narrow down to one.
Slate gray, black, cashmere beige and this sand beige are my favorite.
The original on my '68 is hunter green (which i don't like) and i bought it, it was ivory (repainted).
Thanks for your information.
Bao

There are just a few folks that like the beige colors. For resale it is better to keep the original color or a color that most folks will like. Slate Grey and Black are very popular, where as the Beige's are only popular with very few. However, if you are going to keep the car forever, then you can even paint it pink. It would depend also on your interior color.

By the way, Hunter green was not a 68 Porsche color or any early Porsche color. You probably meant Irish Green.

Yes, I do believe it is sand beige. I happen to like this color and I'm happy to say my new camera captured it very well in these pictures. If your monitor is working correctly you should be seeing it the same way, which is very nice indeed.
