Where does the fuel breather hose connect?

This question has been posed before but I'm not sure the answer applies to my '69 912. I recently removed the carpets in my trunk for the purpose of replacing the window washer hoses. I noticed that the fuel breather hose (901 201 601 32) which starts at the fuel "container for bleeding" (901 201 062 22) was lying in spare tire well unattached to anything. See photos. There is a rubber sleeve affixed to the hose which obviously attached it something but where?

Thanks,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

I have a '68 and the hose comes out of the fuel tank, connects to a vertical brass tube that loops back on itself, then makes its way out the bottom of the car.

Hope this helps,

Jason
