Floorpan Restoration
Last weekend I managed to finish the restoration of my passenger sides floorpans (inside)......
Now I am looking for some new carpet ![]() I used POR15 products....... After wirebrushing the whole pans I used Metal Clean to get rid of any silica or other coating on the pans...... SAM ![]() After washing the pans I used Metal Ready to prepare the bare metal and to transform the remaining surface rust..... ![]() Again everything was washed out - after this the metal changed to kinda milky colour...... After everything dried out completely I did paint a first coat of silver POR15......... ![]() Approx 4 hours later (nearly dried surface) I applied a second POR15 Coat (black)........ ![]() Today I had a first look at the result - great ![]() Grüsse and good look on your projects

SAM1:
You want to hide those beautiful floors with carpets? Looks like your hard work was well worth it! Congrats. Bill. |

Wishing for compliments WFB
![]() Certainly I will not cover the floorpans with carpet...... I will cover the pans with synthetical felt mats (insulation) and put the original rubber above it..... The carpet I need is "only" for the surrounding areas ..... Thanks again SAM

Congrats Sam
Those pans look great. If you end up needing a few odd bits of carpet I have a whole load of grey carpet for most of the bits you may be after, it's mostly S style. Alan.UK |
