Weber Carbs

Hi All,

I had to replace the heads on my 912 and it has Weber 40 IDFs. I don't have to do anything special to the "new" heads do I? I assume the intake manifolds that were fitted to the Webers when they were installed are all that is needed, correct?

Just wanted to be sure!

Thanks,
Bill

Porsche Crest webers

Bill,
When I replaced the Solex carbs with Webers on my 912 everything came in the kit, new gaskets, bolts, manifolds and carbs. If you are simply replacing the heads with new / different ones from a 912 all the pieces you took off the old ones should fit the new. If I'm getting your question right the answer is just put everything back together, no modifcations are required to or on the heads.
Happy motoring,
Chas.

Hi Chas,

You got it right! The only change is a new head. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything. I measured the ports on the heads and they appeared the same, I just didn't want to overlook anything.

Thanks for the info!

Bill
