MSD / Mallory IGNITION WIREING.

Hi Folks, My 912 will not start with my Mallory CDI installed. I get spark when I test as per manual but engine will not start. I think my problem is the small red wire that needs 12V switched. I am using a Pertronix Ignitor and have wired as follows:

Big Red to Starter Positive +
Big Black to Ground
Big Orange to Coil +
Small Black to Coil -
Small Red to red wire that was on the coil from ignition
Red Pertronix Wire to Thin Purple
Black Pertronix Wire to Thin Green

Question. The small 12V switched Red Wire connects to the ignition red from car. Do these go on + Igniton coil or where? it seems I need to close this circuit for engine to start.

P.S Both MSD and Mallory CDI have identical color wiring and connections.
