Anyone interested in a '76 912E in good condition?

My collection is overwhelming me. I do not want to sell, but I'll never get to all of them.

I have a 1976 912E, Guards red with SC rear fender flares. No sunroof, but has A/C (not working). Mileage is unknown. Front seats have been recovered. NOS heat exchangers. New suspension bushings and turbo tie rods. Has 16 inch polished Fuchs with Michelin Pilots. Runs and drives good, but engine could use a rebuild. FI still working well. Car is not concours material, but would make a great driver. Looks like a 911 thru 1989. See it on ebay.

E-mail me if interested. I can e-mail pictures.

Hi Duane - While I hate to see a 912E (or any 912) sold I can understand. On the Southern California 912 board Bob is looking at a 912E. He mentions sunroof & AC, but rust is an issue. Scott, 69 & 76 912/E (#86)

Anyone want it before it goes to e-bay? Duane

Added 5-7-02: Check it out on ebay.

Duane,

Post this on the 911 board. I don't think too many 911 owners frequent the 912 board. It would be worth a shot.

FYI, I think your car sounds like it's worth a little more than you are asking. A bone stock "E" went for almost $6k last week on ebay. With your Fuchs, and the suspension work, reupholsted seats and very valuable heat exchangers it's gotta be worth at least $2-3k more than that one was, maybe more IMHO.

I'd hold out for more like $8500-$9k unless you are just trying to dump it.

I'd bet you get over 8k on ebay.

later,

David

Hey Duane,

You should inquire about removing that buy it now option. It looks to me like your car is going to draw significantly more than $6500.

Nice car! I like the flares.

Good luck,

david

Thanks David, I hope that I have represented the car well. I'm just trying to be fair with the price because the car does need TLC. I just hope someone buys it that will enjoy it. Duane

Duane,

Did you see this recent development:

What are the odds of three 912E's being up on ebay simultaneously?

In my opinion, they are presently priced in reverse order relative to actual value!

David
