'67 CV's don't bolt to '69 901 Tranny- HELP!

Yesterday-

I rolled under, with fresh packed Cv's out
of the '67 912 I rescued, and felt that "blue"
feeling when I tried to install too small
CV's to the Diff hubs of the '69 901 5-speed.

On the passenger side of the Tranny is a stub
and 5 bolt holes. The driver side has zero stub
and 6 holes..

Q! Do I need to aquire '69 inner CV's? Will
they slot on my '67 axels? WWUDo?

I am a little confused Doc.

Do you have a 69 car with large hubs inner and outer? If you do you need to find some other axles. If you have small hubs on the trailing arms, you need to find two early hubs for the trans.
Then everything matches. Let me know.....JMB

*I guess I didn't fully comunicate

I have a '67 912 that I am installing a '69
5 speed in.. and own the small early '67 axels
and inner and outer CV joints-

I was surprised to find they did not bolt to
the '69's 901 tranny output flanges..

I assume- if I aquire '69 Cv's for the inner
pair they will replace the early small ones
I have now, and everything work fine, agree?

PS- *Where does on go to beat the $150.00
price for each '69 Cv?

Doc,I have a 1967 which I put a 1971 5spd in and had the same problem. All you have to do is remove the flanges from the trans(1 bolt in the middle) and swap them out with the smaller flange from some donor trans, perhaps your old one. They have the same diameter at the gear box, just different dia.at the CV.Worked for me just fine.Hope this helps
