912E Thermal Reactors for sale
Just seeing what kind of interest there is for these as I intend to in the next month or so replace them for some straight-through 'Y' sections. I have had one off recently to replace a stud in the head and it looked to be in near perfect condition with just a little surface corrosion on the canister part. As I live in the UK these parts are not not neccesary for our MOT test, therefore I am open to offers for the pair as they'll only clutter up my garage once removed.
I will sort some pictures out when I remove them. Cheers Nige |

Anybody got any views on what they would pay for them?

I'd have to say they are either worth their weight in gold to someone or nothing to others. As I understand it, they contributed to a tendency to overheat and many 912E owners removed them when they could for the "Y" adaptors (mine has this). I believe in California where original specification are required until 2006 they are needed but individual enforcement relies on the technician recognizing the difference. You may want to post a message on the 912Registry and take offers. Scott, #86

Thought I'd wait just in case someone wanted to make a deal. I'd Ebay those pups. As Scott mentioned, they're California Gold & definitely worth the shipping from GB. The smart guy would lease them out just for Calif. smog tests! I've also heard rumors that the "Smog Only" stations out here will have schematics of specific required equipment fed from Sacramento to their screens real-time! Let's all pray that the 30yr law in Calif. holds up.
Good luck, Bill. |
