weber carbs

I have a 69 912 that I am restoring and has weber carbs. They are both 40 IDF but they are different. One has a fuel inlet that can be reversed back to front so you can change back to front. The other has a fuel inlet that looks like it is sweaded in and the back has a plug that look like it is cast in the carb, I would like to reverse the inlet so I can feed fuel from the back as with the Solex. Has anybody run into this and if not who is the company that is the Weber expert

Thanks

Take the carb that has the swiged inlet in it and place it on the left bank which will place the inlet to the rear(facing the engine from the distributor side and place the other carb on the right, This carb has a removable inlet that can be reversed
