vaseline and fuchs

Anyone heard of using vaseline on fuchs to get the shine back, if the fuchs are a bit cloudy?? I just read a post on the 911 board about it. Anyone tried it?? How did it turn out??

I've heard of it many times however never tried it yet.

It sounds odd but it works, go figure. Tried it and found that the more you rub the better. Will not work if the finish is too far gone (like curb rash or pits) but it can make a nice improvment where it has that faded fogged look. I tried motor oil to see if any oil or grease did the same and vaseline worked the best.

isn't this trick for the black anodised wheels? i had a anodized mt bike frame. people suggested wd40, vegatable oil and pledge. all worked great but collected fine dust. pledge worked the best. strange - i know but some of these tips came directly from GT mountain bike. hope this info transfers over to porsches.

Hey there,

Do a search for vaseline on the 911 board. There have been several threads there on the subject.

Hope this helps,
