Looking at a 912! own a 914
 

I have an old employee that has a roomate with a 912. I'm not sure what year but I'm wondering what I should look for. I know 914's & what to look for those. Any common rust spots on these. The engine was run dry of oil apparently & not working

Is your last name really Rust?? That is what you want to look for, in the floor pans, front pan, door sills and anywhere else you can think of. If you can get under the car that is even better.

Look in the battery box, under floor mats, under trunk carpets, around rear windshield trim, quarter window trims, anywhere and everywhere.
