wheels and wheel adapters
I'm working on a 67 912 right now, and am researching the possibility of not using wheels with the porsche bolt pattern.
Is there an adapter available to change the 5x130 pattern into something more common, like 5 x 100? My other cars are subarus, and there's TONS of available 16x6.5's out there. I did a search, and it didn't turn up much. steve d. just east of atlanta |

I'm sure someplace there is a manufacturer that makes what you're looking for, those types of adapters are very common in the VW world. Couple things to consider would be the quality of the adapter, I've seen some pretty cheap stamped steel ones that I wouldn't put on my car. I've also seen some billet aluminum ones and have run those on a '70 340 Dart Swinger that was abused a 1/4 of a mile at a time, in 5 years I only broke one during a burnout....
An alternative would be to remove your hubs take them to a competent shop and just have them redrilled for the pattern you need. Good luck. |
