65-69 912 Key Blanks for ignition w/o lock

There is a long-standing catalog with parts for our 912's that was bought up by another company. The key blanks disappeared from the new version and the sales rep. told me "NLA!" I've been hunting for key blanks ever since.
Found a box in the proverbial backroom and bought it on the spot. I don't need all of them so if you want a key blank, email me and I'll set aside one (or a couple) for you. $5.00 each plus $.50 postage or you can send a self-addressed stamped envelope ($.33 per key) & I'll return it with the blanks.

I have a 69 912, a 67 912 for parts, and a 66 ignition switch - the blanks match all three (they are the same).

Guys, this post is from 2000.
I doubt he has any blanks now.

Search on Tony the key man for keys for your Porsche.

I just go to the local locksmith. They have always had the blanks that worked. They even made a separate key for my glove box.

There are two different keys for the 912's and maybe for the later 356's. One for the US market and the one for the Euro market. The key for the Euro market is longer than the one for the US. I had to change my ignition switch several years ago. The one from the dealer had the US type with the shorter key. The door still uses the original long one. The 912 was originally a Euro car.

If anyone is interested, I have acquired several key blanks for our 1968 912. After my father mongoed the original off and in the door lock, I have to search for a replacement. When I found the proper blank that actually worked, I purchased several so I would not have to replicate my original efforts.

They are the shorter US style keys if anyone is interested.
