Windshield Wiper Color

I had almost finished my 1968 resto project , however the shop incorrectly chromed the once black color wipers , although I liked the look but this is not an original wiper as far as I know. The chromed wipers appeared to my knowledge from : 1965 - 1967 and the black ones on 1968 and beyond.

Should I stay to the chromed wipers or paint it again in black ? As background info. : The car is not 100% original : CD Player, Newer "911S"seats , but it has the original chromed bumper guards, deco trim and Hood Grille.

What are your thoughts?

As long as they're already done, I'd leave them chrome, but I'm biased to the "early look!"
