Renewing rivets for the rear grille (?)
Hi! In order to restore the rear grille, I have to sacrifice the original rivets (photo). What will the best substitute be? B.r.

Regular rivets would not look good. Go onto the ESR technical thread. They will know. World of quality knowledge over there.
Technical Info Just don't mention it's a 912. Some of them take to long to respond otherwise. ![]() Also, do a search. It's been discussed many times.

Try here also.
Porsche 911 Technical Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS Remember, that is the exact same piece that's on the 911's.

Tinners rivets are too hard to work; go with the AL ones that are much softer. I used MC AL rivets to rework my turn signal housings before installing new lenses. I tried to use the tinners rivets first and gave up, even with the correct rivet buck. I attached reflectors and one ground lug. You may have to rework the heads to make them look correct
