Any have the grey leatherette interior?
Hi all, I am looking at a '65 912 which is possibly on the market.
Original interior was grey leatherette with Bali Blue painted dash & exterior. Anyone have a grey leatherette interior photographed that I can see? The seller has changed it to a tobacco colour with Grand Prix white paint. Thank you.

For 65 - 69 there was only red, black, brown, and beige in the Leatherette. There was a stone gray in the corduroy seat inlay with black leatherette.
From 65-89 The only gray interior was in Leather (a gray beige or gray green). Prior to 84 it was a special order in leather only. If your Kardex says you had a gray interior then it was in leather as a special order. |

Most of the time people who talk about a gray interiour are most of the time talking about a beige one...

Thanks.
I will have to confirm it but I was told that it was grey leatherette by the bloke who works at Porsche Australia. He was reading it directly off their Kardex files. He did say that he was converting it from German so perhaps something was lost in translation?? Quote:

I guess it probably is a special order interior now that I think about it. The paint colour is also special order. 'Bali Blue'.

Bali Blue was last used in 64 as a original color. If you can get a copy of your Kardex. Someone here can help you translate it from German. Then you will know what it had when it left the factory. It sounds like it was a special order for someone than own a 356 before with that color combo. However, only the Kardex will verify it for you.
