If you are looking for info, the 912 Owners Handbook "orange book" has a copy of the owners manual in it in addition to lots of other useful information. It is one of the most useful sources of repair instructions you can have.

That orange 912 book is great!

BTW, I would still like to purchase an original 1967 912 owners manual and tool kit.

Let me know if you have one.

Thanks.

The original tool kit will be hard to find and astronomically priced. Think of a hundred people bidding on one on eBay. There are some after market non original ones available. The Orange Book will give you a list of the items in the 67 tool kit. So if you find one you will know if it is complete. Also there was a travel kit available with spare parts for road repairs. This is near impossible to find, if not.

The 67 drivers manual will be a little easier to find. Look at the title page the edition will be written between VII/66 - VI/67 to make sure that you get a 67 version. A VI/66 will be for a 66 and a VII/67 will be for a 68. The covers were different for the first 3 years. There are three different covers for 65, 66, 67 on.

There was actually no changes to the content from 65-68.

It is not the Orange book that will give you the list of tools for the tool kit. I was thinking of something else at the time.

It is Dr Johnson's "The 911 & 912 Porsche" A restorer's guide to Authenticity. Another nice book to have in your collection.
