Radio size help?
Hi friends,
I purchased my 67 912 over a month ago, but it's still not back on the road, due to the brake calipers having to be sent off to be rebuilt. While I'm waiting to get it back, wondering if anyone know of what cd players will fit in it? I'd love to have a CD player, or at least an aux hookup for an iPod, but from what I can tell it seems like the opening is a little smaller than standard head units? Any help is much appreciated! You will have to take it to a stereo shop to find a radio that will fit the holes and then have a external CD player attached. These cars used a Blaupunkt Frankfurt or Becker radios. Depending if you were in the US or Europe
Also the generator will not support too many electronics, especially at night with the lights and window wipers going. The radio will be a little hard to hear unless you use amp and etc. The electrical system was not designed for this. However, some have worked it out with a Bosch alternator. But the alternator stands, that would support these, are very hard to find due to a limited supply were made. Many just prefer to listen to the engine sounds. ![]() |

Thanks, both of you!
I look forward to hearing what you think of that, Matt. I've been leaning that way, Jaems, just sticking with the engine sound soundtrack. Thanks for the insight on the capability of the electronics. Chall Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
