Trunk and glove box re-key

Does anyone know of some one who can make a key to my glove box and trunk with out replacing the cylinders? the keys for both were the same. I have tried 3 different locksmiths and none can do it.

any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Spencer.

Must be a Targa. Unless one of the locks have been changed. One key fits all (ignition, trunk, door, and glove box). 74 on had a special key for parking attendants. However, not sure which model year that started with. Up here they just took one of the locks out and cut a key to fit it.

Year and models usually help to get answers.

This car has been in my family since 1967, it has never been altered. it has always had two keys one for ignition and one for the glove box and trunk lock. and Yes it is a soft window targa. It cracks me up that a locksmith cannot figure this out. what good is a locksmith if you cant make a key.

Thanks for the reply jaems
i'll keep trying.

You don't have to replace the cylinder, you can take it apart and see what pins are inside, then file a key to match. Likely only one pin is different than the door key, if you want to use your door key for all locks you can just remove the one pin in the glove box lock that is stopping the tumbler from turning.
