The engine rebuild starts

I have been pumping some of you all for info on parts options for rebuilding my 912 engine. I just cracked the case and to my surprise the crank is standard and looks to only need a polish, The The case, crank, rods, flywheel is all going out to CE for work, full flow oil and balancing, I was sure that I need was going to need a new crank, I even had a quote from Scat. The P&C's were 86mm but junk, cracked rings and pistions. I am getting a set of Shasta 9.25cr The only real problem right now is that one rod had been replaced with a 3 oil hole one, I was told not to use them so I will be lookin for one good used 2 hole rod. I am sure I will have some assembly questions in the future. Ill also keep you all up to date on the progress and some pics.
