New 1966 912 project
Hi Guys
I thought I should post a few pics of a 1966 912 I purchased recently. The car has been sitting in a garage in an unfinished state for over 25 years. It has no rust (we don't salt roads in Australia) and is generally in very good condition apart from disassembly and no paint. The vehicle will be repainted as original in Polo red. Doing all the work myself (mostly) I plan to repaint the body and reassemble it with some minor modification i.e. period sport style seats, Fuchs wheels and a suitable modern radio. I should say that I am a new Porsche owner having wanted one for some time. This one seemed to be the most cost effective way to get into the brand for me. I reckon I will need advice from the Pelican community from time to time when I hit brick walls during the rebuild process. cheers weave912 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a great project. I always like to see RHD examples - very rare up here.
Good Luck, Bill |

If you haven't already, you can log your cars info at 912VIN.com - The database for Vehicle Indentification Numbers ( VIN ) of the Porsche 912..
