912 trans in a 911 ?

I have a 68 912 transmission I would like to put in a 69 911 E. does anyone know if it will fit ? Thanks for the help !

Sounds like a 901 trans. I have that in a 911 and a 912. Dogleg 1st rules!

Fits just fine. The 68 will be Alu and 69 mag but 911 vs 912 makes no difference.

'68 is a short wheel base car. '69 LWB. I believe the axel flanges are different on the '69 transmission.

I think the 912 had a different ring and pinion giving it a lower gear ratio.

The chart here may be useful...

901 Series Porsche Transmission

I have a 5 speed 912 in my Intermeccanica with a 2.4 911 S motor. Used a Fidenza light weight flywheel and a Kennedy Engineering custom made ring gear to adapt the two otherwise no problem.
