1966 Porsche 912 Engine lid emblems
Hi All
Hoping you can help. I am busy restoring a '66 912 Karmann coupe. As far as I know the car should come with the narrow 2 piece porsche emblem with slanted 912 badge at the bottom right However after blasting I found that the lid has the holes for the spaced individual porsche letters as well as the holes for the slanted 912 badge and no holes for the horizontal 912 badge at the top of the lid. As far as I can read, the individual lettering only started in 1967 models. My lid seems to be a mis match? The Vin on the car #453777

decklid
Looks like the correct lid, someone had a good time drilling for the "update"
that decklid should have the smaller script and the one that's at an angle. |

If that is truly a '66 engine lid, you should find a date code stamped on the vertical bar, I think on the inside.
