wiper installation

Does anyone have a picture of how the wiper mechanical linkage and motor mount? I've never seen them installed, but have repaired the electric motor, and if I want to drive this winter, at all....
and it's starting to rain regular here north of Seattle.
Thanks in advance,
John

John,

Don't know what year you have, or if there's a difference for that matter. I have a 67 and if you are still stumped I can take down the front carpet and try to take some digital pictures of what mine looks like..... Let me know.

Thanks, Morrie
Actually I did get it working....I had the wiring correct the first time, it was actually the switch on the steering colume giving me the problem. once I cleaned that up, everything was working properly.
I appreciate your offer, however, and all the help I get from this forum
best regards,
John

inop wipers

Showing how much I drive in less than sunny conditions or how long I have had this 912. Wipers don't work.
quick look see behind dash.. all appears connected. fuse 'looks' ok, replaced anyway.. so left with the switch on steering or motor..
John.. what did you find with yours?

Try this...

Chuck:
I suggest cleaning all electrical connections, and exersizing the switch with the power on... in my case, I disconnected the internal wiring and hooked 12 volts (fused) directly to the motor contacts, to verify the integrity of the motor.
My car was unused for ~15 years, and I've found corrosion is frequently a problem. Just physically cleaning and moving things around (operating contacts, switches, etc.) has often been an effective remedy for me.
I hope my experience helps you... it would be great, after all the help I've received from this forum
Good luck, I'm happy to contribute
John

I could get nothing to work on my 66 and for some reason clearance was a problem removing the entire unit. To be legal in Texas I had to have functioning wipers so I decided to take the whole thing apart piece by piece. I found a rather large nut at the base of the shaft of each wiper post that once broken loose freed the whole thing to move. They just hadn't been used. Work fine now. Might be worth a try. Could get lucky. Later
